In memory of Daniel Cornic

On Saturday, November 16, we received the sad news that Daniel Cornic had died after a long period of illness.

Daniel was very important to the establishment of Nordic Seaco. Without his presence and active contribution, the company would not have been established almost 30 years ago.

Our friendship stretches even further back in time, so when I was contacted by Daniel to start a business in Ålesund together, I never had any doubts. He was an excellent teacher and a driven, skilled businessman, who was able to combine this with humor and an easygoing manner.

In 2003, I took over Nordic Seaco and naturally, there was more sporadic contact between us.

But the good friendship never ended.

Daniel took his sons, Joel and Laurent, into Cornic SA, and they have run the company with a steady hand in recent years.

Unfortunately, Daniel lost his battle with cancer, and we are now left with memories of an honorable man and a loss in our hearts.

Our deepest condolences go to the family and to the employees of Cornic. Daniel has left a deep mark in a positive way as both a friend, mentor and business partner.
