Memorial words – Erik Markussen

On November 13th we received the sad news that our good friend and colleague, Erik Markussen (58), had passed away. After several months of major health challenges, he fought back, and we all gained hope that he would be able to become strong enough to have the necessary surgery.

Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way.

Erik had a unique ability to see everyone. He had no enemies and has left a solid impression on many in our industry, both at home and abroad. He started as a purchaser in Frionor, back in 1985. We are several employees who had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Erik, when he worked there. Erik later worked for many years in the Nomad system, among other things as Purchasing Director at Findus before he joined us in 2020. His vast network of contacts and positive attitudes came in handy as our “Business Development Manager”, with his place of work in Oslo.

Erik will be sorely missed here at Nordic Seaco, both as a friend and colleague.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his partner Liv, his two daughters and his grandchildren.
